Mark & Brett were in the Tuscany region of Italy. Mark had a traveling studio on his bicycle, courtesy of Bike Vermont. Mark & Brett also made stops in Zurich & Geneva, Switzerland.

Third Grade Students at Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism (CCT) Arts in Education HOT School Alcott Elementary, Wolcott, CT, developed two origami projects in conjunction with their Native American studies. Shown in the following photos, Third Grade Students are sharing with each other tips on how to build boxes and balls (polyhedrons) from paper to understand material construction. Mark's current CCT HOT School Residency is a largely Student-directed project. April 28, 2009 News
CCT Arts in Education HOT School Columbus Magnet School, Norwalk, CT, celebrated the Mosaic Gallery and the installation of the Landscape of Learning Mural that Mark worked on with K-5 Students & Staff. Mark's CCT project involved unique symbols designed by the students expressing the learning environment of the School. Colors and designs were achieved through democratic practice and hands-on application of all Students.

December 2008 News
Mark was selected by Senator Joseph Lieberman as his Designated Artist for Connecticut for the 2008 White House Christmas Tree. Mark’s design currently resides at the Smithsonian Institution.
